Be part of the (now) biggest literary event in the country, the LA Times Festival of Books, to be held on the campus of the University of Southern California, Saturday, April 12 through Sunday, April 13. With hundreds of events including author talks and book signings, panels, film screenings, cooking demonstrations, performances, and activities for children and teens, the festival offers something to anyone with an interest in the humanities.
California Humanities and the California Center for the Book will be sharing information about our upcoming statewide read of best-selling novelist and Vietnam veteran Karl Marlantes’ What It Is Like to Go to War. Stop by Booth 158 to talk with staff and volunteers to get more information about how you can participate in CA Reads 2014, along with other programs related to our War Comes Home initiative. We look forward to seeing you there!
