Special Grant Opportunity- Latino Americans: 500 Years of History

Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, a public programming initiative for libraries, museums, community arts and cultural organizations, historical societies, public television station affiliates, and state humanities councils, will support exploration of the rich and varied history and experiences of Latinos, who have helped shape the United States over the last five centuries and who have become, with more than 50 million people, the country’s largest minority group.

Applications for Latino Americans: 500 Years of History will be accepted from February 16 to May 1, 2015. Visit www.ala.org/latinoamericans to view project guidelines and apply online.

Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, a public programming initiative produced by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA), is part of an NEH initiative, The Common Good: Humanities in the Public Square.
