Does your community have a story to share? Community Stories supports public humanities projects that explore the California experience through story-based performances, panels, websites, video, radio, and exhibits. Since 2003, we have made over 400 awards to community-based nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, schools, libraries, and state and local government agencies to document and disseminate the real stories of our state through the means of public humanities programs.
Applications will be accepted July 1 for the August 1, 2014 deadline of this ongoing competitive grants program.
