ARCATA—Disasters of Humboldt County

ARCATA—See Disasters of Humboldt Bay and consider: How does our view of the natural world shape us as individuals and societies? The free event includes three short videos and a panel discussion lead by Wiyot experts. Produced by the Humboldt County Historical Society, the event offers three short videos (“Discovery”; Disasters; Development) followed by a facilitated panel discussion about the historical significance of the bay. The panel, composed of experts selected by leaders from the Wiyot tribe, will address how our view of the natural world and its challenges shapes our experiences as individuals and societies.
