BONITA EXHIBIT—Sine Kwento: Stories in Film

BONITA EXHIBIT―Sine Kwento: Stories in Film is an interactive exhibition at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center that takes visitors through a cinematic experience, from the beginnings of Philippine cinema into the modern age of media and content creation by Filipino American vloggers and filmmakers in San Diego, California. Sine Kwento is in collaboration with San Diego Filipino Cinema and curated by filmmakers Benito Bautista and Emma Francisco. The month-long exhibit includes production artifacts like screenplays, film equipment, costumes, and film production photos used in some of the classic films featured in the exhibition. Historical photographs present the Philippine film landscape from the 1970s to the 1980s by renowned Filipino filmmaker and photographer Cesar Hernando. The Bonita Museum and Cultural Center located in Bonita, California provides free entry and parking. Covid-19 social distancing and mask requirements in place during the exhibition including limited entry.
