SAN FRANCISCO–Join Western Neighborhoods Project from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 24th to learn about “Chinese in the Richmond”, see a pop-up sidewalk exhibition of CHSA’s prior project, “Chinese in the Sunset,” share your family history and drop off your mementos for complimentary scanning at the first of two “Chinese in the Richmond” Community Open Houses.

This is the first of two Community Open Houses to celebrate “Chinese in the Richmond,” a collaborative project between Western Neighborhoods Project (WNP) and the Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) that seeks to illuminate the lives of Chinese Americans on the west side. Bring photographs, mementos, and other ephemera to share, and WNP will scan them within 60 days, returning your family treasures with a copy of the scans on a free 16GB flash drive (first come, first serve – while supplies last).
