COLTON– Presentations of Findings of Oral History Project, Mexican Americans in South Colton 1890-1960

November 9, 2017 @ 12:00 am9:00 am

COLTON– Over 75 videotaped interviews of long-time South Colton residents helped us document the social, economic, and political realities of life in our segregated community.  Come join us as we share our findings about what it was like to grow up in this vibrant “city within a city” that celebrated our culture and nurtured our lives. Please help us with our project. We would like to borrow and scan your family’s pre-1960 photos to add to our research. Contact us at tomrivera1@yahoo.com or 909-213-0515 Saturday October 28, 2017 2:30 pm Gonzales Community Center, 670 Colton Avenue Colton, CA 92324 Presenters: Dr. Tom Rivera Frank Acosta Henry Vasquez Michael Gomez This event is supported by California Humanities through a Community Stories grant.
