EL RIO–Día de los Muertos Festival: Celebrate Mixtec Culture!

EL RIO– Join in for a special Day of the Dead festival at the Albert H. Soliz Library in El Rio, CA on Saturday, October 27, from 5-7 pm. View as students perform “Baile de Pina,” a traditional Mixtec dance of the Oaxaca region of southern Mexico, which they have learned especially for this occasion.  Also, enjoy the music of Radio Indiginia 94.1 while you visit the library, see the development of the new Mixtec mural being added to the library walls, and review the collection of new library materials celebrating the cultural richness of Mixtec arts, culture and language. Participate in Day of the Dead celebrations, enjoy the foods, and see the oferendas honoring our ancestors. Saturday, October 27, from 5-7pm Albert H.
