LA HABRA– Film Screening of film War For The Planet Of The Apes, and Discussion on Racism and Anthropocentric Views of the World

LA HABRA– With a grant from California Humanities, the La Habra Library proudly introduces the second film in the series: Dismantling Archetypes: Breaking down barriers through film. The La Habra Library presents film professors, historians, directors and artists who discuss films covering race, ethnicity and gender identity to encourage dialogue about these important issues. Matthew Bowler, card carrying SAG actor and producer will curate War For The Planet Of The Apes. War For The Planet Of the Apes is the continuing saga of Caesar and his brethren trying to find a place for themselves in the world. This will be followed by a discussion of racism and anthropocentrism in society as well as the important role fathers play in society. Light refreshments provided.
