"The understanding of a culture comes from hearing the language, tasting the food, seeing personal interactions, experiencing the traditions, and so much more when it is in context."

FRESNO—Listening Session

January 31, 2020 @ 6:30 am8:30 am

Free

Youth digital filmmakers at a California Humanities supported event.

FRESNO—California Humanities wants to hear from you.

We are embarking on a listening tour throughout California over the next few months to find out who is producing humanities content and programming in our regions and across California. Our goal is to sit down and talk with organizations and individuals focused on telling California stories through the humanities, and consider how we might all work together to learn from each other and amplify our voices. At the listening session, you will:

  • Share your knowledge about humanities and cultural programming in and around Fresno
  • Provide feedback and ideas on improving the collaboration of humanities and cultural programs locally and across the state

This event will take place at: Fresno Public Library – Woodward Park Branch Large Meeting Room 944 East Perrin Avenue Fresno, CA 93720 Limited seating; registration required. Register here

Please note that the listening sessions are not workshops to learn more about our grant programs. Grants Workshops are scheduled throughout the year and you can find more information on our Funding Opportunities page. Questions? Contact Outreach & Advocacy Manager John Nguyen-Yap at jnguyenyap@calhum.org
