"The understanding of a culture comes from hearing the language, tasting the food, seeing personal interactions, experiencing the traditions, and so much more when it is in context."

HOME GARDENS LIBRARY—Over this 3-day photography workshop led by professional photographer Steffanie Padilla of UCR ARTS,  participants will learn the basics of using camera as a way to find their unique visual voice. This workshop will use the book Photographic: The life of Graciela Iturbide by Isabel Quintero as inspiration. Through creative photo experimentations, demonstrations, and discussions, the goal is to have participants walk away seeing the world, and their neighborhood, in a new and exciting way. The workshop will lead to the photography exhibit at the library and publication of selected photographs in a chapbook by Inlandia Institute.
