LA HABRA– Film Screening and Discussion on Zootopia
November 26, 2017 @ 6:00 am – 8:45 am
Free
LA HABRA–With a grant from California Humanities, the La Habra Library proudly introduces the second film in the series: Dismantling Archetypes: Breaking down barriers through film. The La Habra Library presents film professors, historians, directors and artists who discuss films covering race, ethnicity and gender identity to encourage dialogue about these important issues. Alexandria W. Walker, District Representative, will curate Zootopia. With voice stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, Zootopia is a modern fairy tale about how predators and prey can co-exist in the world. It begins with not judging a book by its cover. Join in on the discussion about how we should treat others and about why we shouldn’t look on the outward appearance. Light refreshments provided.
