LOS ANGELES–Indian & Pakistani Cooking Demonstration

LOS ANGELES– The Lens into Mi Vida: Dishes of the Immigrant Experience program continues with Chef Farhana Sahibzada who will showcase the art of Pakistani and Indian cooking in this food demonstration. She will offer simple and quick versions of classic and popular recipes of the Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Farhana Sahibzada is a former café/cooking school owner, a veteran cooking teacher and a cookbook author. In addition to teaching classes at her café her teaching credits include: City colleges in L.A. and Santa Barbara, Culinary schools including: The Westlake Culinary Institute, Art’s Institute in Santa Monica and North Hollywood, Southern California’s Culinary Institute in South Pasadena (currently Le Cordon Bleu), The New School of Cooking, Surfas Culinary District, Local Farmer’s Markets and many other local cooking schools, libraries, gourmet food markets including: Gelson’s, Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods and home/kitchen appliance showrooms.
