OAKLAND– The New Parkway Theater in Oakland, California, will screen George Csicsery’s film, “The Thursday Club,” on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 7 p.m. The screening of the film, which offers a look into the lives and stories of the Oakland police officers who battled demonstrators and Black Panthers in the 1960s, is timed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stop the Draft Week demonstrations that rocked Oakland between October 16 and 20, 1967.
