ON THE ROAD SERIES: IN TUNE: ARTS AND HUMANITIES IN THE GOLDEN STATE

During National Arts and Humanities Month, in partnership with the California Arts Council, we offer a celebration of the arts and humanities at the center of California life, and a conversation about the importance of providing access to educational opportunities that include both. Artist and educator MARC BAMUTHI JOSEPH of Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, will lead a conversation with electronic music pioneer and Pulitzer Prize finalist MORTON SUBOTNICK, together with SARAH CROWELl, Artistic Director at Destiny Arts Center and JORDAN SIMMONS, Artistic Director at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts. The evening will include spoken word artist Donté Clark and youth music and dance performances. Event will take place at the Oakland Museum of California 1000 Oak St, Oakland, CA 94607 with performances throughout the evening

Parking fees are $1/hr if validation in the Oakland Museum of California The On the Road with California Humanities series features Pulitzer Prize winners in dialogue with notable thinkers and the community, examining contemporary issues to guide California along the path to a vibrant future.
