The history of the farmworker movement in California has been well-documented, but how can the experiences of the past help inform the future of agriculture, organizing and the state’s economy? Pulitzer Prize-winning author Miriam Pawel and Dawn Mabalon, Associate Professor of History at San Francisco State University, will discuss how the farmworker movement of the past can help inform the future of agriculture with playwright Luis Valdez, founder of El Teatro Campesino and Samuel Orozco, author and National News and Information Director of Radio Bilingüe.
