ONLINE–Night of Ideas: Closing the Distance
January 28, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pmFree
Once again, Night of Ideas returns, on January 28, 2021, part of a 24-hour global celebration of the arts, humanities, and philosophy. Established in 2016 by the Institut Français and co-produced by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy Night of Ideas is an international event festival of ideas and connections that each country and city approach in their own way. With its overwhelming success in its past two years with more than 6,000 attendees at the San Francisco Public Library, Villa San Francisco and its partners KQED, San Francisco Public Library (SFPL), California Humanities, and SFMOMA are proud to bring this event back to the Bay Area. Although it will be a virtual event this year with the challenges posed by the pandemic, its new format will continue to spur dialogue and creative participation on the theme “Closing the Distance” (“Proche” in French). This 2-hour virtual, free event takes place from 7-9 pm on January 28th, 2021. Register here! You can access other Night of Ideas events across the globe: https://nightofideas.org/.
