IRVINE—On February 4, at 3:15pm PST UC Urvine University Art Gallery presents “A Study in Blackness and Black Identity”. Join Cherise Smith, Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies, UT Austin in conversation about the exhibit. [RSVP] This program is presented alongside The Black Index, a group exhibition featuring the work of Dennis Delgado, Alicia Henry, Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, Titus Kaphar, Whitfield Lovell, and Lava Thomas. The exhibition will be on view in the Contemporary Arts Center Gallery January 14th through March 20th, 2021. Due to COVID-19 campuswide restrictions, the exhibition will not be open to the general public. Please contact the gallery at gallery@uci.edu for viewing information.
