PASADENA—Youth ages 13 – 17 are invited to a Beyond the Bridge: Design Your Own Neighborhood!, a series of engaging humanities workshops offered this summer in the Los Angeles area. Teens are welcome to join Beyond the Bridge for free interactive, multidisciplinary art workshops where they will re-imagine their neighborhoods to create more just and inclusive communities. 3D printing will be used to generate concrete solutions that the youth will present at the final Beyond the Bridge festival at the Los Angeles State Historic Park in Fall of 2020. Bars, Bans & Walls: Re-Imagining the Bridge as a Model for Justice & Inclusion (aka Beyond the Bridge) is made possible by a Quick Grant from California Humanities and is a project of One Mile offered in partnership with Side Street Projects and the Women’s Center for Creative Work.
