PASADENA– Dreaming the Universe: Museums of the Arroyo Day
May 20, 2018 @ 5:00 am – 10:00 am
Free

PASADENA– Delve into the worlds of science fiction in Pasadena Museum of History’s multifaceted new exhibition, Dreaming the Universe: The Intersection of Science, Fiction, & Southern California. The exhibit explores how the literary genre interacted with the advances of science, the changes in technology, and shifts in American society during five pivotal decades, the 1930s to the 1980s. Visitors will enjoy a fantastic array of vintage costumes and movie props, fantasy art and illustrations, original manuscripts, robotic toys, and fan gear.
The fun continues throughout the museum campus, where you can:
- Craft your own vehicle for inter-galactic exploration in Art 2 Go’s Rocket & Spaceship workshop
- Join forces with the costumed Star Wars Rebel Legion and 501st Legion for photo ops and more
- Time travel to Edwardian-era Pasadena and 19th century Finland via mini-tours inside historic
Fenyes Mansion and visits to the Finnish Folk Art Museum
- Enjoy a refreshing treat with a purchase from the Kona Ice Truck
