ONLINE TOWN HALL—The Pending Eviction Crisis

November 19, 2020 @ 4:00 pm6:00 pm

ONLINE TOWN HALL—COVID-19, the pandemic-induced recession, and high-tension elections have dramatically compounded our community’s need for affordable housing, accessibility, equity, and justice. As eviction moratoriums come to a close and unemployment rates remain high, we want to address the pending eviction crisis. How does this affect already vulnerable communities? Who’s next? What comes next? Join us for this virtual event, A Town Hall on the Pending Eviction Crisis, with stakeholders including a landlord, a tenant, city and county government officials, nonprofit leaders in the arts and housing, as well as the voice of our moderator, Sociology Professor, Dr. Sunghee Nam. Professional Spanish translation services will be provided by Bridging Voices. Presented by the Oxnard Performing Arts Center via Zoom. Preregistration is required. Register here. For more information, go to oxnardperformingarts.com or contact Carolyn Merino Mullin, Executive Director, 805-385-8147, director@oxnardperformingarts.com. This project is supported by Humanities for All Project Grant.
