PLACENTIA—Hispanic Heritage Artstravaganza! at the Whitten Center

Image courtesy of Wikimedia. PLACENTIA—On Saturday, October 19, join the Placentia District Library at The Whitten Center for Arte Creativo, an all day celebration of Latin American culture. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with fun DIY crafts and discover the historical importance as to why these crafts exist at this artrageous event. Enjoy storytime with Georgette Baker, while she weaves stories and introduces scientific facts, biology, and artifacts into a participatory program. Librarians Ana and Michelle will perform the puppet show The Runaway Tortilla, based on author Eric Kimmel’s story. Watch folklórico dancers, make chalk art, play Lotería, and record your story of coming to Placentia on an interactive world map.  All supplies provided. A free program; all welcome.
