SAN DIEGO—City Heights Voices Showcase

SAN DIEGO—Enjoy a special evening of films created by Hoover High School English Learners reflecting on their first years of living and going to school in the US. Friday, May 10, 2019 6–7 pm Hoover High School, Room 1103 4474 El Cajon Blvd. San Diego,CA 92115 Youth Voices is a 12-month initiative intended to amplify the voices of immigrant and refugee teens living in San Diego’s most diverse neighborhood, City Heights. The project engages students at two area Title 1 high schools, and work with professional media artists, a humanities advisor and project director to produce short documentary films about pertinent City Heights issues.  This project is supported by a California Documentary Project NEXT GEN grant.
