
SAN DIEGO—On November 10, the San Diego Chinese Historical Society and Museum will host the fifth oral history interview workshop, under the project title Jiātíng gùshì . Community members and their families are invited to share and record memories and stories. For the fifth workshop, the museum is pleased to welcome special guest Amie Lee Garapich. Amie Lee, a long-time resident of San Diego, has provided monthly walking tours of San Diego’s Asian Pacific Historic District as a Museum docent since 2018. Through an oral history interview, she will recall childhood memories of San Diego’s Chinatown, where her father served as a minister at the Chinese Community Church. Members of the public are welcome to sit in on the oral history interview sessions, which are free with purchase of Museum admission ($5.00).
