OUT on the Left Coast:  A new website and a digital collection document the history of the San Diego Pride Parade through the many moving and provocative graphics the phenomenon has generated over the years. Watch history unfold on the website timeline. Explore t-shirts, posters, buttons and banners – as well as striking photographs of early community activists. People of all backgrounds now have unprecedented access to this important historical collection! The original materials for the project date from the late 1960s to the present and are housed at the Lambda Archives of San Diego. In partnership with Lambda Archives, the SDSU Library envisions OUT on the LEFT COAST as a growing and evolving resource that fosters greater community understanding and engagement with an important part of Southern California history.  This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
