SAN DIEGO—Oral history has the power to enhance understanding and promote dialogue among citizens. Part of the San Diego History Center’s philosophy involves telling the histories of everyone in the community, including those traditionally excluded from history books. In the past year they have collected over 50 new oral histories. Through first-person perspectives and studio portraits, Welcome to the Mix provides a glimpse into some of the fascinating people and stories that will now be part of SDHC’s collection. Join this open house and reception for the first day of the new exhibition.
