SAN LEANDRO–Mabuhay! A Traditional Filipino Dance Performance by Kariktan Dance Company

San Leandro–This fall, the San Leandro Public Library is kicking off (be)Longing:Woven into the Fabric of Our Community. This series of intergenerational community events will promote the learning about and embracing of the diverse cultures that make up San Leandro.

All ages are invited to learn about Filipino culture through dances like Tinikling and Bulaklakan. Non-profit organization Kariktan Dance Company will discuss the history and cultural significance of the dances. An audience participation segment, Listening circles, and to-go Pancit & Lumpia Tasting Boxes will follow.
