STREAMING– Film RABBIT IN THE MOON Streaming Online for POV’s 30th Anniversary

STREAMING–Emiko Omori’s film Rabbit in the Moon (supported by California Humanities) will be one of the many films available free streaming for 30 days, Jan 1- Jan 30, 2018 to celebrate POV’s 30th Anniversary. Film Description: Like many Japanese Americans released from WWII internment camps, the young Omori sisters did their best to erase the memories and scars of life under confinement. Fifty years later acclaimed filmmaker Emiko Omori asks her older sister and other detainees to reflect on the personal and political consequences of internment. POV Marathon on WORLD Channel: To close out the 30th anniversary celebrations, POV will curate a binge-worthy marathon that highlights notable films from its rich and diverse history. The POV marathon on WORLD begins with a day of broadcasts followed by 30 films streaming for 30 days. Those who have downloaded the PBS app can stream the films on their favorite device. All others can stream on pov.org and worldchannel.org. Streaming HERE: January 1, 2018- Jan 30, 2018 Spanning POV’s 500-film archive, the titles streaming in January include classics such as Jonathan Demme’s I’m Carolyn Parker, Marshall Curry’s Street Fight, Natalia Almada’s Al Otro Lado: To the Other Side and Whitney Dow’s and Marco Williams’ Two Towns of Jasper. American Tongues, POV’s first-ever film to broadcast, will also stream in January.
