ONLINE SCREENING: Talk Story II: Dollar a Day, Ten Cents a Dance screening, and community discussion. On Saturday, January 29, the Watsonville is in the Heart (WIITH) project team rings in 2022 with a screening of Geoffrey Dunn and Mark Schwartz’s Dollar a Day, Ten Cents a Dance (1984). The documentary offers a portrait of Filipino agricultural workers, who traveled to California in the early through the mid-twentieth century. Join community members for a conversation between director Geoffrey Dunn, local philanthropist and activist George Ow, and Steve McKay, professor of Sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and co-Principal Investigator of WIITH.
