Heidi Lucero THOUSAND OAKS– The Chumash Indian Museum invites the public to a special talk by Heidi Lucero on Indigenous California Face Tattooing on Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm at the Chumash Indian Museu, 3290 Long Ranch Parkway, Thousand Oaks, CA Heidi Lucero is an Indigenous Anthropologist and a descendant of Acjachemen and Mutsun Ohlone tribes of California. She will be discussing the revitalization of California Indian face tatooing. With her work, she hopes to help bring back cultural traditions that have been nearly lost and to return this information to the tribes that are in need of this information for retaining cultural heritage and continuity. This project is supported by California Humanities through an Humanities for All Quick Grant.
