WEBINAR–The Fellowship for Reconciliation – A Centennial Film. Discussion led by Nicolette Rohr, Associate Faculty, Riverside Community College; Lecturer in History, University of California, Riverside.
This film and discussion program explores the history of peace activism as part of the Mission Inn Foundation’s multi-activity project, Toward Peace. The September 25 screening features a short documentary on the centennial of the Fellowship of Reconciliation- USA. The October 2 screening of Investigation of a Flame takes an intense look at a moment of civil disobedience on the part of anti-Vietnam War activists and its aftermath.
The series is part of the Mission Inn Foundation’s project called Toward Peace – exploring the history of Mission Inn founder, Frank Miller, and his Peace activism in the World War I era. Toward Peace takes a deeper look at the history of Miller’s peace activism within the context of his times and also, explores the role his legacy provides us as individuals and communities as we negotiate our own extraordinary times.
