WATSONVILLE– Author Event: Yuyi Morales Author of Dreamers

WATSONVILLE– Join award winning author Yuyi Morales as she tells her own immigration story in her picture book tribute to the transformative power of hope… and reading. The first 50 families will receive a free copy of Dreamers. Thursday, October 4 6:30 pm Main Library Children’s Room Immigrant Experience Through the Arts programs are made possible by a grant from California Humanities, an independent nonprofit organization and a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant Library Innovation Lab: Exploring New Ways of Engaging California’s Immigrant Communities is offered by California Humanities to encourage California libraries to develop creative and innovative programs that will respond to the needs and circumstances of today’s immigrants and immigrant communities and foster more inclusive communities within our state.
