WATSONVILLE—Don’t miss this historic gathering of many of the original Watsonville Latina community organizers who laid the ground work for the Southwest Voter Registration campaign (SVREP) and eventually the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) redistricting lawsuit Gomez v Watsonville.  Plaintiff Cruz Gomez is traveling from her home in Mexico to make a rare appearance. Moderator: Shirley Castillo, MSW, Panelists: Cruz Gomez, Raquel Mariscal, Shirley Flores Munoz, Naomi Quinonez, Odelia Galvan Rodriguez, and Rosie Murillo. This is a free event, ADA accessible, with free parking. This project is supported by a Humanities for All Quick Grant.
