WEBINAR–Join Anthony Garcia, program coordinator for the LARRP LEADERS Training Academy, and faculty and staff from Cal State LA to hear the stories of formerly incarcerated women.

Drawing upon the letters written in the 1970s from incarcerated people to Mervyn M. Dymally, this community event seeks to have an authentic dialogue by creating space for formerly incarcerated women to share their experiences and lead the discussion about the contemporary carceral state. In collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Reentry Partnership, this program will feature a discussion about the lack of medical care in CA prisons during the COVID19 pandemic. This event is part of a series with J.F.K. Memorial University Library at Cal State LA focuses on the incredible work of nurses and other healthcare workers. Join Anthony Garcia, program coordinator for the LARRP LEADERS Training Academy, and faculty and staff from Cal State LA to hear the stories of formerly incarcerated women.
