WHITTIER–Ofelia Esparza, Chicana Altarista

WHITTIER– Ofelia Esparza, Chicana altarista, 2018 NEA National Heritage Fellow, former teacher and one of the cultural consultants on the movie “Coco” will be talking to us about her permanent altar exhibit in the Natural History Museum and the altar she will be making for the library. The presentation will begin at 6:30pm. Free tickets are required and are available at the Whittier Central Library and Whittier Whittwood Branch Library.    Free parking   Light refreshments will be provided by the Whittier Public Library Foundation.
