IDA Extends Deadline for Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund

The International Documentary Association (IDA) has extended the deadline for the 2020 Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund to June 7 in light of the toll COVID-19 has had on the filmmaking community.

In the spirit of award-winning documentary pioneer Pare Lorentz, IDA‘s Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund provides production and post-production grants to full-length independent films that embody his democratic sensibility, activist spirit and lyrical vision.

Each year the fund supports outstanding films that explore key themes from Pare Lorentz’s films. In 2020, our focus is criminal justice with production and post-production grants up to $25,000. The deadline for applications has been extended to June 7, 2020, so if you’re a filmmaker exploring criminal justice in your feature doc, apply now!
