SUMMARY:SAN PEDRO–Pedro Play
DESCRIPTION:SAN PEDRO—When Jessica is sent to San Pedro on a journalistic assignment\, she finds much more than the feature story she expected. A romantic comedy with original music\, PEDRO PLAY explores the meaning of home in a community in the midst of radical change. The show’s cast features members of the San Pedro community on stage in collaboration with Cornerstone Theater Company’s ensemble members and guest artists. The cast will be accompanied by a six-piece band playing original music by Co-Composers David Markowitz and Nehal Shahin. PEDRO PLAY is inspired by dozens of conversations and stories shared with Cornerstone artists over the script’s development\, as a part of Cornerstone Theater Company’s ongoing Change Series. In these volatile times\, Cornerstone is undertaking an exploration of how societal change across the country and the globe is impacting our local communities and\, by extension\, the very nature of the work we do as a company. \n\n\n\n\nThursday\, October 19 at 8 pm \nFriday\, October 20 at 8 pm \nSaturday\, October 21 at 2 pm \nSaturday\, October 21 at 8 pm \nTickets are Pay-What-You-Can with a suggested donation $20\, but any amount is appreciated.
