A donor-advised fund (DAF), which functions like a charitable savings account, lets you decide how much to give and how often to give it to California Humanities and other qualified organizations/charities. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact, or use your fund for future gifts.
Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those funds are invested for tax-free growth, and individuals can recommend donations to charities of their choice over time.
Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle because they’re an easy, tax-savvy way to give to organizations like California Humanities.
