Save the date for the Great Valley Gathering, happening at Courthouse Park in Fresno from October 2-4, 2026! This free, three-day festival is part of the Smithsonian’s nationwide “Of the People” initiative for America’s 250th anniversary — and California Humanities is honored to be part of it alongside incredible Central Valley traditional artists and culture bearers. At the Gathering, we will invite visitors to join us in making a community collage reflecting on the future of cultural democracy. We hope you can join us.
