Los Angeles — See a screening of Akwaaba: The Awakening, a full feature documentary film chronicling the journey of African Americans from Los Angeles traveling to the Motherland for the first time. This documentary project began as a wonderful readers theater project performed in Leimert Park at the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Theater in 2016.
