Mayan Mam Weaving Series/Grupo de Tejido Maya Mam

We invite you to participate in a 6-week weaving group at the César Chávez Branch, guided by expert weavers from Union Maya. The first session is open to the public and will consist of mini presentations, sample textiles, and an opportunity to practice using a loom. Sessions #2-#5 are registration only. We have capacity for up to 12 participants to get hands-on, one-on-one weaving support from expert weavers to create a mini textile project. The last session is open to the public and will consist of a celebration and exhibition of the final textile projects created by the participants.
