CA Museum Grants

The California Natural Resources Agency is now accepting proposals for the California Museum Grant Program. The deadline to apply is March 11, 2022.

Grants awards will be between $50,000 and $500,000. Approximately $47.5 million is available and may be awarded over multiple rounds depending on this year’s applicant pool.

This competitive grant program supports and enhances museums that are deeply rooted in, and reflective of, previously underserved communities and will give priority consideration to projects in museums: severely affected by COVID-19; and
that serve underserved communities or students subject to Title 1 of the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act.

The California Cultural and Historical Endowment (CCHE) will be hosting five technical assistance workshops in February via webcast. Click here for workshop dates and details on how to RSVP. For more information on the Museum Grant Program, call CCHE at (916) 653-2812 or email mgpcoordinator@resources.ca.gov.
