Los Angeles—Presenting AfroClassical Composers cordially invites you to Strictly Strings, an event featuring diverse musicians playing string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass and harp) in classical works by composers of the African Diaspora. Featuring works for string quartet, quintet and string orchestra by Diane White-Clayton, Gregory T. S. Walker, Florence Price and Fela Sowande. Music is paired with related disciplines such as dance, visual art, fashion and more, giving context to the music. Experience virtuoso musicians playing string music by AfroClassical composers!
The event will conclude with a panel discussion and a reception with refreshments. See you there!
Vision of Inclusion:
This is a community event for everyone, all ages are welcome. College students and their families and professors in all fields. Foster families, LGBTQI+ , neurodiverse (including those on the Autism Spectrum), Veterans and their families. All are welcome!
