SAN FRANCISCO—The inaugural class of Muses & Melanin Fellows will graduate next month! Join us at the Main branch of the San Francisco Public Library on February 8th at 12:30pm for a celebration of readings and a reception, and watch each Fellow receive their graduation package!
During this first Fellowship year, Muses & Melanin provided a supportive, virtual, fully funded eight-month cohort-based professional development program for talented California African American, Afro Latina, and multiracial women creative writers of the African diaspora. The fellowship was open to women who did not yet have a lengthy list of publishing credits, were not under a publishing contract, did not have literary agent representation, and did not have a doctoral degree in English, Creative Writing, or Literature.
