This program is part of the exhibit Reading Room: Zines, Comix & Other Radical Texts, a loud and proud exhibition that celebrates the contemporary relevance and impacts of zines and comics on culture today, on the visual and literary arts, and in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Organized by the Wignall Museum with the support of campus and community partners, the multidimensional exhibition focuses on artists and authors whose works engage with comic and zine-making. The exhibition also features hundreds of zines and comics for visitors to read and respond to in a community studio space. Artists include Yasmeen Abedifard, Kumasi J. Barnett, Cheyne Ellet, Funchicken (Mark Todd & Esther Pearl Watson), Charles Glaubitz, Kristen Liu-Wong, Felix Quintana, Alkaid Ramirez, and Birdcage Comics Café, Curious Publishing, The Space/El Espacio, and Tierra del Sol.
