California Humanities is pleased to announce the next deadline of Humanities for All Quick Grants on February 15, 2024.
Guidelines and an application will go live on January 15, 2023.
We are hosting a free online informational session on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10–11 am PT:
What are Quick Grants?
Created in 2016 under the Humanities for All grant line to help lower barriers to participation, this is great for first-time and returning grantees. Funding is available between $1,000 and $5,000 to support small-scale public humanities programs and projects which take place within one year from the award date. Projects should be grounded in the humanities, explore California’s rich history and cultural life, and show potential to provide high-quality humanities learning experiences for participants and audiences.
Appropriate formats include but are not limited to: community dialogues, reading (or film) and discussion groups, oral history or nonfiction writing or story-sharing workshops, and other types of activities.
Read about the 20 projects we supported in Summer 2023.
How can I apply?
You can access the online application, guidelines, and FAQs starting on January 15, 2024 from our program page. Meanwhile, browse past program guidelines on our program page.
Applications are due online by February 15, 2024 by 5 pm PT.
