Oakland, CA -California Humanities is honored to be a recipient of a $32,405 grant from the California Arts Council (CAC) as part of its 2024-25 funding cycle, which invests nearly $19.5 million to support arts, culture, and creativity across the state.
This general operating support grant strengthens our commitment to enriching communities through the humanities by fostering storytelling, dialogue, and cultural understanding. California Humanities will support the cultural ecosystem of California through statewide grant making that amplifies public programs at the intersection of the arts and the humanities.
“We are grateful for the California Arts Council’s continued investment in organizations that celebrate and sustain the arts and humanities,” said Rick Noguchi, President and CEO, California Humanities. “This grant directly supports our work in elevating new narratives, fostering meaningful conversations, and ensuring that humanities-based programs continue to thrive in communities statewide.”
California Humanities extends its appreciation to the CAC for recognizing the essential role of the humanities in shaping California’s cultural landscape. This support ensures we can continue providing funding opportunities, programs, and resources that connect people and communities through shared stories and creative expression.
